Team lead Network team

As the team lead for the Network for end user you will be responsible for leading a group of talented network engineers and subject matter experts focused on building and maintaining foundational network services. These services enable the connectivity solution that support end user needs.
This team lead role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to drive the team towards achieving operational excellence, continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers/architect , fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions with team members.
Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of new team members with HR and contracting.
Set clear team goals, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Technical Oversight:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of end-user network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN solutions.
Ensure network reliability, performance, and security by adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Strategic Planning:
Plan and manage multiple network projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Facilitate regular project meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives, applying agile methodologies to manage workflows and priorities.
Track and report on project status, risks, and key performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Project Management:

  • Collaboration and Communication:
Act as a liaison between the network team and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Represent the team in cross-functional meetings, advocating for network initiatives and resource needs.
Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
Proven experience (5+ years) in network engineering or a related field.
At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role within a technical team.
Strong background in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Strong technical expertise in networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with network security and compliance requirements
  • Language
At least one of the national languages and a good understanding of the second language
