Team Manager

Mechelen, Belgium
We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead a team of junior reporting analysts within a data-driven environment. This role requires a strong focus on people managementcoaching, and performance improvement, rather than deep technical expertise.
The team is newly composed and requires guidance to deliver on a strategic reporting roadmap.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coach a team of 7 junior reporting analysts
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups and regular 1-on-1s
  • Prioritize and follow up on the team’s roadmap and backlog
  • Ensure timely delivery of reporting outputs
  • Support team members in understanding and executing reporting tasks
  • Act as a liaison between the team and stakeholders to clarify reporting needs
  • Drive performance management and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the strategic evolution of the team’s services and ways of working
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Business Engineering, IT, Data Science, etc.)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in data/reporting environments
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in a people management role
Must have skills:
  • Working knowledge of QlikSense
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and data environments
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Performance management experience
  • Proactive and strategic mindset
Nice to have skills:
  • Dutch language skills
  • Prior experience within telecom/data environments
  • Affinity with technological or network data (e.g., delivery KPIs, operational software testing KPIs)
