Business Consultant Product Journey

Mechelen, Belgium
Our client is looking for a Business Consultant within the Product Journey tribe. This role is business-facing and requires close collaboration with various departments to identify, assess, and support new initiatives. The Business Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end journey ownership, ensuring alignment across the organization and proactively identifying the impact of changes across business units. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong IT background and a passion for customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key liaison between business and IT, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Proactively identify and assess new business initiatives and their impact across departments.
  • Follow up on end-to-end journeys and ensure consistency in customer experience.
  • Analyze requirements and their impact on existing processes, systems, and tools.
  • Develop and present business cases to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical teams to explore and assess solutions.
  • Document chosen solutions and ensure legal compliance.
  • Set acceptance criteria and validate solutions with stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data and stakeholder input.
  • Present findings and proposals to upper management and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer operations, including call center environments.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Broad business understanding and ability to assess cross-functional impact
  • Technical affinity and experience with process modeling and documentation
  • Experience in customer-centric or call center environments
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and working in high-visibility roles
Must have skills:
  • Strategic and broad thinking mindset
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with business case development
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with Jira
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
Nice to have skills:
  • Experience in the telco or utilities sector
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and service design
  • Experience in agile environments
